hey all, just finished up my lvl 18 smiter, and i can already say im very pleased with the results. just lookin for some tips from every1 to help improve him.

Mostly 15 lifers, a few 14s


i may stick a pair of sig boots on him to see how that boosts his def. i also have bfist and a nice fhr belt w/ life and str in stash for him. deaths combo is another option, but i dont have any extras at the moment.

So far he's doing pretty well, ive beaten all the 18 zealots ive ran into, and a few higher lvl LLDs as well. Any suggestions on equipment you thinkn woul dmake him better?

indeed it would, but i have yet to find one, and i refuse to trade for one, so its a temp, i just threw this char together and lvled it all last night, as u can already see he's nowhere close to perfect.

you should mabe look into using milbrega armor/helm, gnasher, swordback hold, sigon gloves, boots, belt? dont really feel like looking up the ias breakpoints but that should be faster. you might need some other kind of weapon on switch to kill other characters becuase smite at level 18 can easily be negated.

Jerkazoid's patented mila smiter gets way more defese. I had one of them until I deleted to make room for another char. He had about 9xx life, and 1.8k defense.

yeah, i just upgraded a few items. i now have 1850 defense and 926 life. might be gettin even more def soon if i find two more items im lookin for, and 114 more life whenever i find a sup 3os crown

id say try an get a monks ammy of the fox you dont need ar with smite so the + skill would be way better

i sorta ditched the milebragos idea bc i figure i could go from 2100def to 1577def but get about 300-400 more life.

1577def 855life (i could hit 1088 if i was rich with better sc's, im honest to god using some +11 lc's and +6life sc's,, i could add 233 more life)

why i choose what i did:

1 duskdeep helm and your worthless, thats -7dr and yes people have em (pubby newbs unknowingly and u dont want to look bad infront of them ). and i keep one as well incase of other smiters lvl 9-24.

its also why i have the zeal switch, so i can actually deal out ABOVE 41 dmg with fire and lighting as well, for a kill hit incase of any -dr.

just go with 1 smite, the added ed% is adding maybe 2pvp dmg? whooppie.... .. use the points into prayer and 1 clensing incase of another smiter.

i duel some zealots and do fine..., but the good ones no-way.

anyone smart uses blessed aim and then the def is not doing what u want it to. then its all about life and walking away to let OW do its thing to stay alive longer.




i too em casually looking for some elite 500def eth ancient armor with repair and hopefull 2 sockets or -20reqs.

also some 8def +15life sc's will go a long way if u can add just ten of em. i have one that i bought from a friend. its precious but it needs brothers and sisters to really make a diff

imagine if it was uber gear, these builds can go faaaaar imo...(if only milebragos could spawn eth...)

to update, i have a nice 430ish def eth\repair 2os ancient now thx to 2fat, one thing i thought of is switchin crushflange w/ a gnasher. that'll give 100% OW, but 13% less CB.

like jerka said, reason for the angelics is not the AR, but its other precious mods. how much dtm does yours have...35? do you think thats overkill? i only have the 20 from angelics, and i still keep enough mana to keep smitin, occasionally running out(on the grounds that no one can hit me, therefore negating dtm's purpose).

i also found out that once i find the helm im lookin for, w/ a few gear changes and a remake, i will easily hit over 1.1k hp, normal rushed. thats more than even a hell rushed zealot

i thought about the milabrega's setup already(i thought of the build, gathered the equipment, and lvled this guy all yesterday) and like you said, more life is a much better trade off. w/ milabregas i had an estimation of 2k def, but 740ish life(on my initial guesstimates), and w/ the alternate gear i had gathered i estimated a 1.1k def but 950ish life.

its all good though, ive got the hang of this build now, and like i said he's doin very well, hittin 926 life, 1850 def, and a good ias bp. after a while of mfing im sure i can find some items to boost his def up to 2k or more, and like i already stated, i can hit 1.1k life eventually.

your hitting whered id like to be.

dont use gnasher. the openwounds at 50% triggers every 2 hits, it just resets the 8 sec duration.. that alone is overkill so stick with crushflange, more crush is sweet

i have just about 50%dtm i stil havent had mana trouble yet thanks to this.. 1 small hit and i get tons back.. also i have 90 mana

the only other option is for lvl 22's angelics sickle + goblins toes,, u get way more speed +1skill and 50mana.....and the mods for your rare def gear is better then too. so the same setup geared up to 22 would be wicked

as i learned the trade-off mils for life is better. if u can get the 8/15 sc's ull really be in buisness that 100 base def lost is well worth it

the only thing id change is your skill placement..

1 clensing
rest prayer

possibly 1 sac.. but a +2zeal scepter with lvl 11 sac charges would be best. i just was in a duel where i needed to use sac bc my 41-41 zeal didnt go through their dr,, so i had to use my 80-81 sac to kill
