Doesn't that make it bug? Just wondering why put max dmg jewels into a ed/ar shield...or does max dmg give more then the ed so you could just have any random ed shield with high ar etc.

So I guess I'm asking...Which is better?

143edmg 60max is a waste since it's bugged right?

Maybe I should just look up the bug again, it's been awhile :/

if you put plain max jewels in a paladin shield it doesnt get bugged
if you put ed/max jewels inside the ed does get bugged

The jewel itself has to have ed/max for it to bug, iirc.

if an item already has %ed, or +max, or +min, then you can add all %ed jewels and it wont bug, or add all max/min jewels and it wont bug. once you start mixing jewels with %ed and max/min, then it starts to bug.

edit: ANYWAY, a 60 max shield with no %ed would be better than a shield with 140% ed on a lvl 18 zealer imo.
