I'm surprised that small bot was able to beat that other bot that was like 2-3x it's size

i had forgot about this video. it has always amazed me how smooth the robots move and how well they work and how balanced they are. its really amazing stuff.

Absolutely. I liked the way most of those robots recovered from being knocked over. I'd buy one, but I'd be afraid it would kick my ass and take over my apartment.
It's really unbelievable. Especially if you go back and look at (or are older and saw) the early days of robot technology. When I was a little kid my Mom worked for a Japanese robotics company (she also knew Japanese, and for some inexplicable reason decided not to teach me, as well...) and I remember walking through their labs and seeing some awesome stuff. But that crap was primitive compared to the stuff you can buy for under $100 dollars in a toy store today.

red one was way more maneuverable then the larger black one. From the beginning i could tell it would win.
