Use vegetable oil to fuel your car okay? Subject description: no more paying $3-4 a gallon for gasoline, trust me.... |

http://www.greasecar.com/
I 1st saw this on CBS News and my jaw dropped. I was like wtf!?! Yeah, the story was about this guy who drove his car using only vegetable oil, cooking oil for God sakes. He had his own fuel filtering system in his garage and he actually got the cooking oil for free even. He reportedly said he paid only $0.50 per gallon for his fuel. I only caught the story about half way in but it was interesting then. I'm assuming since it got national news attention, for sure the government will now stomp on this new fuel source and outlaw it and making it illegal soon.
Anyways check out the site I found about converting your car into using veggie oil for fuel. Unfortunately the conversion and use can only be on a diesel motor vehicle. I think the only thing that will be a hassle is actually getting the vegetable oil. Sorry about my spelling if I misspelled anything. I'm on the end of my rope for today. But yeah I am now a fan of veggie oil. Laters!

yeah this has been around a long time actually. getting veggie oil is easy. go to any fast food restaurant and ask "hey, do you mind if i take some of your waste away?". no problems there.

no idea. A while back all of the major car companies came out with electric cars. They sold a bunch of them, and then the government bought them all back. Every last one. And destroyed them.
Theres a movie about it called who killed the electric car.
The government wants us to use fossil fuels. Apparently to make us spend tons of money, pollute the earth, and fight wars in the middle east...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Who_Killed_the_Electric_Car%3F
theres the wikipedia site. Check it out. I havent seen the actual movie but iv e heard about it.
Gotta love good old corruption and greed.

Well the guy on the program that I watched says it ran like a normal diesel car except the emissions were nothing but the smell of the food the oil was used for.
Can you imagine how much $$$ you can be saving with this conversion? Let alone helping the environment. I mean getting setup, actual installation and getting support for it may be a pain I'm assuming. But hell its a chance to save "green" and be green, . Atm, I'm looking at possible diesel cars to buy, heh. Laters!

Heh, the most suitable cars to convert in my price range "imo" is a Volkswagon Golf GTI Turbo or a Volkswagon New Beetle.
I've never been a fan of Volkswagons but since these are good candidates, I'll consider them. Now to find one at about $4000-$9000 range. Hell, I might just go ahead and lease a new 2008 model and convert it. Prices for a brand new one is around $15000 w/o options. The conversion and use of veggie oil will pay for the car after time.

Pretty boring really. Salt acts as a catalyst for photolysis (breaks up H2O molecule into hydrogen + oxygen), which is provided by [very] high-energy UV light. The released hydrogen can then be burned back into the water it came from.
Flashy, except that you'd be better off using an electric motor than using the same energy to split the water, recombine it and use some of the heat to power a combustion engine.

my SUV is fueled by baby owls. the road noise it generates is enough to knock them out of their nests, so i just have to walk along the side of the road and pick them up when i get low on fuel.
