I've been saving four 19 max jewels for quite some time, with the eventual goal of rebuilding my charger's shield.

I've been sitting on a 65 ed / 115 AR Crown Shield, in the vain hope that I might find one with 65 ed / 120+ AR. I'm starting to think that's an unlikely proposition.

So, just curious for some advice:

Should I socket my shield with four 19 max jewels?
Should I wait for a better 65 / AR Crown Shield?
Should I scrap the Crown Shield in favor of an Aerin?

Id probably go ahead and do it, but just to play the other side.....is there any pressing reason to socket said shield? Unless the hunt for a better shield is just too exacerbating, why not wait if you arent really losing any duels with your current shield?

Nope, just impatience. But ed/ar crown shields don't seem to come along too often, and I'm sitting on 73% block with my current Heraldic.

Plus, in an ideal world, I would find four legit 20 max jewels to go in my 65 / 121 shield.

My main motivation for using a Crown Shield is that it will be strength-glitched, along with my Crown, Gothic Plate, and possibly War Axe. I won't waste any points into strength since I was already planning on using a Gothic Plate.

Oddly strength-glitching is an important part of my build.

Just do it. If you want to wait find a nice Aerin shield. Even though nobody else will see it, it will look a lot better.

It's a moot point as I've already socketed the shield with my last four 19 maxers. There are few sources of new LLD items on East NL, and I honestly don't expect a better one to pop up until the next ladder reset. And unfortunately, an Aerin Shield wouldn't be glitched.

wfg, maybe if I ever write a charger guide, I'll explain my reasons for strength glitching. Basically, I have a few pieces of gear that I like to switch in and out on my char, and not allowing my opponent to see what I'm wearing prevents him from adjusting his strategy to counter me.

i say wait and do the 1 El Rune + 1 Chipped Gem + Low Quality Armor = Normal Quality Armor of same type...
