I figured NL would likely be the easiest path. (Also, no $#%@ing hell rushing.)

Okay. Grim says he has some lifers for me. That's a start. (Thanks Grim) What else do people have? Let's talk builds (ranged/open only):

Assassin: How are Trappers at 30? I've never had a PvP Assassin of any type. (I don't want to do melee, tho')
Amazon: I wanna try a GA Zon, maybe.
Barbarian: WW Barb, but I think that's about it for range.
Druid: What ranged Druid is there other than a Windy? (I don't like Windy's, so that's out.)
Necro: Go Bone or go home.
Paladin: Maybe a FoHer, but they seem kinda nubby.
Sorceress: No FB Sorcs, but I'd be open to anything else.

So let's hear what gear people are willing to pony up. If enough stuff for a certain build starts to appear, that'll be the build I roll with.

(I hope it's a Amazon or Assassin, because I was able to reclaim my super-favorite MF 'Zon's old name: "Kama_Sutra". Woot!)

If you wanna do a GA zon, I have a decent circ/ammy/up'ed Twitch to donate, as I don't use them. Also, I can put up 15 15 lifers, unless someone has 3/xx/FRW's floating around unused.

Great feedback. Based on peoples' comments, I think I'm narrowing it down to the following three:

Fire Trapper Assassin. If Chewie says they're good (and others support that), then I believe it. After all, he's wearing my boots. Wink

Bone Necro: My first PvP love, but the good gear (circlet, ammy, 2x SoJs, 35% FCR Spirit Crystal, Rhyme Demon Head) can be hard to find. And from my experience with my old Necro, the difference between Awesome Gear and Okay Gear is a friggin' canyon. (My old Necro was leetsauce.)

GA Zon: It sounds like I have offers of a helm/armor/ammy. Do I *really* need high-end charms to compete? I've been offered about 25-30x15 Lifers, so I'll definitely have basic stuff covered, but unlikely to get any super charms unless people have spares.

So let's look at gear for those three. Fire Trapper, Bone Necro, or GA Zon. As of now I have offers for the following:

Assassin: Nothing

Necro: Nothing

Amazon: Circlet, Armor, Amulet

I think I'd really like to try the Fire Trapper, but I don't know how expensive the gear is for that. I *know* how expensive the gear can be for a Bone Necro, so while people are advocating I try it, I'm not sure people have good enough gear they'd be willing to part with. Wink

And the GA Zon may be hampered by the lack of +damage charms.

I think I'm not going to hell rush this dueler. (I represent LLD101 after all - can't be making BM duelers...) I know Necros and GA Zons don't need the rush. What about the Trapper?

Fire trappers need a hell rush to be good, actually; I was talking about light trap. Sorry, should've specified. And I would say yes, zons need good charms to be good, or else damage will be pretty (read very) bad.

blizz sorc is probably my favourite lld build, AND i have a nice stickied build for it in the LLD Guides section, albeit hell-rushed. but you can do it!

So, do Light Trappers need the hell rush? I'd imagine they do, since those extra skills are key to bumping up trap damage.

No character needs hell rush... My trapper does 1k dmg norm rushed and thats enough. A hell rushed trapper gets about 1.6k.

Well, unless people have some pretty good Necro gear, it sounds like the GA Zon or a Trapper will be the way to go. Seems like people have plenty of charms to offer, and Oleo offered up some Amazon gear. What other stuff do you guys have? Here's the big one: does anyone have 2x SoJs available? Seems like the Trapper pretty much needs them (and I know the Necro does), so if I can't get those, I'll make the Zon.

Light trap doesn't need a rush at all. Mine doesn't even do 1k (986 i think) damage, and I can win a lot of duels.
