Best emulator/pc joystick? |
|
Can't decide which is the best controller for playing old school videos games on my pc. Well mostly for old school N64 games. Any help would be awesome. Thanks.

There are USB adapters for any controller if you want to search around for those.

Really depends on what games/emulator you play alot. Since I mainly play emulated SNES and PS1 games I just use a controlled that looks almost exactly like SNES controller except it has the protruding handle things on the bottom like a PS controller). It works quite well and cost me 4.99 in the bargin bin at circuit city one day when I was buying DVD-r's.
If you want analog capability I do suggest going with the Xbox controller. Best analog I've seen overall (although I liked the tactile response on the 64 controller, the shape was funny and they broke/wore out too easily).

Wow, I've never heard of usb controller adaptors before, this is new to me. I'll have to dig up my N64 controllers in my stash of old school video game goodies. Much appreciated folks!

Not that I don't hate my N64 but I just want to centralize my gaming in one spot, that being my pc. This is the list of N64 games I rubbed shoulders with.
Banjo-Kazoozie
Diddy Kong Racing
GoldenEye 007
Super Mario 64
The Next Tetris
Waverace 64
Zelda The Ocarina of Time
South Park
WCW vs. NWO World Tour
Kinda short but I'm picky and these were my regular games I played back in the day.

I did a quick Ebay search for "Nintendo 64 controller usb" and found tons of what you're probably looking for.
