Just wondering if Fcr works on a merc. If so id use a high lvl act 3 cold merc.
does anyone know if Fcr works on mercs like fhr. and if so what would the bp's be. thnx

Yep, cast speed works on act 3 mercs. The breaks are approximately as follows:
18 fpc: 0%
17 fpc: 10%
16 fpc: 15%
15 fpc: 30%
14 fpc: 40%
13 fpc: 60%
12 fpc: 90%
11 fpc: 140%
13 fpc is about the fastest you can get on an act 3 merc. (20% cast circlet, 30% armor, 20% shield). I'm not sure if they can equip things like wizardspike, but if they can than 12 is achievable.

Edit: forgot to mention that act 3 mercs can only use swords....any tips on what could help fcr or skills?

Viper, 20fcr circ, lidless(they can use sword+shields right?), your choice really. But if you want to make him really powerful you could give him stuff like Nightwings and a 6xfaceted sword o_O
I do believe +skills works

hmm just slapped a peasant crown cap(+1all) on a merc and his dmg didnt go up. I think only +pally auras work for a3 ones(Cant remember details)
The best choice would probably be a 2xfaceted crown of ages,DR(most important, I remember my 'invincible' frenzy barbs merc: cham'd shaft + gaze,I could count the times he died ), resists and 30fhr..very nice,bit pricey though. You have to be willing to spoil him

Dont mind spoiling Got a little bored so decided to better my mercs Ill try on a bunch of different combos i guess and see what i come up with thanks again.
