Subject description: I need some assistance with this thought process.		  
As the subject states i would like to make a HCL lvl 25 smiter.

I had a level 18 defense smiter that was pretty much your basic build.

Any who I am stuck on deciding what gear i want for this character.

I would like to glitch a lvl 25 armor for high defense (hopefully get 4os) and socket it with el runes. Or imbue a nice high defense one as well.

but after that i'm pretty much lost besides using a barbed shield (or is there a better set one or unique) rather then a 2 os normal.

Anyways id appreciate some assistance. Thanks for taking time to read.

I haven't dueled on HC, but the impression I've gotten from others is that people juv/chicken out constantly. A smiter build usually relies to a large extent on Crushing Blow, so I don't know if you'll be able to kill anyone before they s/e.

Generally, it seems like HC dueling involves characters that can get one-hit or two-hit PK's.

I left HC because everyone was such a sissy. Dont be suprised to see chargers who s&e after a miss.

You got the right idea though by playing a lvl that makes you look like "a nub". It's probably the only way to get more than one duel in a week. I'd still go char that kills in a hearbeat, it's the only way to actually get the ear. Otherwise they s&e (or chicken hack).

Armor: rare high def ornate
Shield: Lion Branded Barbed Shield of Deflecting, 2 sockets
Weapon: Shael'd scepter with +1 pcomb and maybe holy shield or smite
Belt: rare fhr/life belt
Gloves: Bloodfists
Boots: Goblin Toes
Amulet: pcomb ammy
Rings: Manalds

thatd be my best guess.

I think using Milabrega's Crown and Ancient Armor would be much cheaper than risking getting a high defense ethereal/repairs armor. Since you'll lose all your gears if you die in HC.

+1 pcomb, 30/20, have larz 2os it

thats lvl 25 req bc of the shield...ilvl with lion branded prefix = 20, says so on teh site
