short summary;
dual wielding takes skill b/c the guy that can put more bullets on the guy he's fighting while avoiding as many as the enemies bullets as possible will win.
it's a matter of manueverability and steady aim to keep the fire on the target while you yourself manuevering to avoid his, this is the same with the BR.
just because the reticle is bigger does not mean it doesn't take skill, it just means it takes an alternate type of skill. rather than headshots, you go for constant body shots.
get it out of your head that because it isn't a sniper or BR it doesn't take skill.

The only dual weild that really takes little skill to use in my opinion would be SMG and Plasma Rifle, I think Plasma Pistol and SMG would be a harder combo to use.

yea right. all the weapons that are dual weildable are nothing but bullet hoses, and the way they work best is to get as close as you can to the person to do more dmg. here is what dual weilders do: 1) run at opponent 2) hold down both triggers.

Okay, you "run at opponent hold down both triggers" (just that) who has dual wields too and see how well you do. Remember, because that's all they do you aren't aloud to jump or pivot around them, simply run forward constantly holding the trigger down (as they dodge around things, bash you, jump beat down, BXB you to death).

obviously i over simplified that, but i thought the message would be pretty clear. any one decent at the game knows there is a certain distance that u can get to without being lunged at. and that is the optimal range for dual weilding. but to get there you literally have to charge at people.
you are bad at halo2, i can tell that straight up by your stupid thought process behind this game. im curious, have you ever played halo1?

Okay, and what do you do when you get to that person? Stand and hold the buttons? See how well that works.
I've played Halo 1 and for what it's worth in Halo 2 I can damn near guarentee to you that i'm not bad. If Xbox live ranks mean anything to you that is.

well of course newb charging is the only way to make dual weilding work. but it doesnt mean newb charging takes any skill. the game should focus more about middle range combat, emphasizing accuracy over the lame 'paper rock scissors' scenarios that frequently occur.
and dont try to tell me otherwise, you're bad.

dual wielding makes you lack your gernades but i sure as hell would like to get caught in a small room with dual smgs before i use battle rifle
BTW my fav weapon is the pistole because its mega sexyness alows instant head shot killing (the halo 1 pistol was so much better though)

What's your gamertag Tric?
I'm getting the feeling that the reason you hate dual wielders so much is because you have trouble killing them.
Middle range combat (i.e; BR, Carbine) is the same thing. Dodge and shoot trying to hit the other guy more than he hits you. You can't say it takes any more skill than dual wielding because the game is saturated with auto aim. Plus it is infinitely more difficult to get away from another dual wielder in a close quarters fight than it is to duck around something when you're losing a BR fight (to a guy halfway across the map).
They equal each other out.
