I found a sweet +2 fire skills ammy... so i figured why not I already have most of the gear.

One thing i'm not certain, would be the best skill split. I'm not sure how much to put into firebolt and fireball. It would be a normal char... no hell rushes.

Gear:
Vipermagi (Pruby?)
Pcrown (Shaeled)
2 soj (another suggestion for me? I'm poor)
good +fireball leaf?
sanders
lenymo for mana regen

This char is mainly for vs caster, but I would appreciate if anyone had any input. As you can see i'm not too sure what I'm doing, but I'm trying.

Which jewels would be best... I'm not too sure what you look for on a LLD sorc. FHR?

Typical (budget) gear is as follows:

helm: peasant crown
armor: vipermagi (has 30%fcr)
amulet: +2fire/10%fcr
weapon: Spirit runeword sword (maximum fcr = 35%)
shield: Viscertuant Defender
rings: +10%fcr rings with mana, etc (+20%fcr with two rings)
boots: sanders
belt: String of Ears
gloves: Magefists (has 20%fcr)
TOTAL FCR: 115% so you COULD feasibly use a 25% spirit sword and still hit the casting breakpoint of 110%fcr. THIS IS IMPORTANT!!

Typical NON-BUDGET gear is as follows:

helm: +2fire/20%fcr/+mod circlet
armor: vipermagi
amulet: +2fire/10%fcr/+mod amulet
weapon: +2fire/+3fireball/+otherskill/20%fcr +mod orb (some ppl still prefer Spirit)
shield: Viscertuant Defender
rings: soj x 2
boots: sanders or some insane tri-resist rares with frw/fhr
belt: 10% fcr crafted caster belt with nice mods (life, fhr, etc)
gloves: Magefists

With this setup u still hit the 110% breakpoint and your damage is a lot higher.

My personal preference is to put pSkulls in your helm/circlet as well as in your vipermagi. Then a pDiamond in your shield. A rare jewel with +str/+dex in your orb to meet requirements.

id go spirit since a good orb is hard to find. lets you use soe also. more mana, dr%, mdr, fhr...stay alive alot longer.

yea aim for 105. DEFINENTLY use fireBALL i wouldnt EVER use fbolt in a duel unless you wanna get raped. you can always have an insight staff on switch to regen mana, and mana isnt a big issue on a fballer anyway.

yea i agree, it could be useful just as a deterent or to make someone move in the spot you want them too, it does fly faster then a fireball iirc.

I tend to like cow kings boots better, yeah 10 less frw but 5 more stats than sanders.
