Ok so I am going to eventually remake my Defense Conc barb and I am aiming to increase my AR by 700-1000, life by 400, and damage by 350-400, defense by 1500-3000. I know that those are high goals but I believe it is obtainable.

Right now my char stats are:
(estimate, not exact)
Life:837 with BO
Damage:1200 max
AR: 6.4k
Defense: 12-13 k defense

I am planning on changing my gloves for one thing. Right now I am using Sanders Gloves in conjunction with Sanders boots, my other options include:
IK Gloves
Crafted CB Gloves
Bloodfist
Ethereal War Gloves with repair and major defense.
or keep the sanders gloves on.

My belt I am pretty sure I want to stay the same, unless sean wants to allow concers to go to 30 Very Happy

(ik belt) I'm going to stick with SoE.

Boots right now are sanders for the stats and ar, I could change them for either higher def eth boots or goblin toe for crushing blow, but then I lose out on the ar and stats of sanders.

My weapon currently is a Honor Divine getting 111 max damage, my options are limited in this area:
Ethereal Honor Naga, 18X max damage, deadly strike, stats, skill, etc etc down size is they are a pain in the ass to find because I believe you have to get a 5 socket eth one and cant socket it.
Any other ideas here would be welcome, I don't have to use honor, as long as it has decent max damage, ias, etc etc
I think my dream weapon would be a ethereal battle hammer with repair, ed, max damage, ias, ar and 2 sockets, but anyways back to reality.

My shield and helm are both basically the same scenario, I can shop for halfway decent ones until I get ethereal rage mask or grim helm/shield and imbue for the proper mods.

So basically im just looking for input, what and why I should change.

btw im keeping my current armor, 13xx defense with 45 life, 17 fhr, resists and repair ornate.

nice setup... however, where are you getting CnF from? i would suggest the death gloves/belt. low defence, but desirable mods.

I'm taking Krajees advice on that subject, and not use it. Reason why is because with a high enough cold resists it doesn't last too long, plus I hardly get hit, I only have 837 so the hits hurt, and I've never been 'chilled' when dueling without it. yes it could hurt me, but why lose out on 40 life, 15% dr, 13 mdr, 109 defense from belt, 50 def from gloves bonus? To me I think cbf is highly overrated in my case.

overall the barb is looking pretty good but something you need to get is some IAS, so far all i see is the 20 on sanders gloves. definelty try getting some high dmg weapon with ias on it. using ik gloves would get you a good amount of life and a little defence but besides that doesnt help without other set pieces. Mabe try out a str cutlass like you did on your pally a while back ( i dont remember if that worked at all or not). a while back i found a 300+ def grand crown but i gave to someone else, since you werent playing at the time. it didnt repair tho but had 25 dura i think. and btw im the one Gheed copied when not using cbf Wink

Thing about str runeword is it's weak damage for a 9 frame, conc is already slow, but you can get like 10 times more damage for giving up like 3 frames.

ias 190+ed repair eth runesword. (even if no ias on it, socket a shael in it)

i know a friend has one with 20ias (sheal) and still gets a nice 180 max 1H damaga, and alot faster then a battle hammer.

exactly ^^ now dupe your armor ,transfer it to Europe, and give it to solly !!!!. my best till now is only 870+ def :'(. trying to imbue eth grimshields too now. 450+def would be cool.

ps how about natalyas boots? been thinking about it but not sure... perfect stats they give a very high def. cant remember 140+? low str req, 40frw and evol defence. u think its an option?

hehe yeah well it was an option. mine has been on stand by mode for 6 months now. i guess it all depends on the items i find what i would chose.

the 100ar is not cool to miss. the str/dex.. not such a big problem i think. or maybe it could be.. really not sure how to make mine either. just checking some options. but 169def is really sexy.

ps im trying to shop a grimshield 3020/fhr/2socket/ed. might take some time, but worth it i think to do some shopping. rare deflecting 2sock is not TO hard to get. u are pritty sure of getting edef mod on it. just need to get lucky on the fhr part.

ps: could u pm or post the guide to your defence smiter? im interested in it.

i personally use eth grim shields and rhyme them, if you find a superior eth grim, it gets 2 sockets max, and def around 250, mines 246, ive dueled alot on him, and the dura is like 32/36 so it will be a long time before i need a new one. plus, rhyme gives nice block, CbF, and some res. also, whoever doesnt think an eth grim shield looks sweet on a baba wearing a sweet ornate is retarded.
