I wanna teach myself guitar, I got this one since its the cheapest but has a good rating and I wouldn't need an amp with an acoustic.

Anyone know any good sites or forums where I could learn some stuff? I kinda have no idea what I'm doing.

uhh nvm I haven't gotten that guitar yet... I'm still trying to decide whether I should go electric or acoustic. I'm not sure which would be better to learn on.

I play, umm for begginers I'd suggest an acoustic.

As for learning, just get some books and learn the basics after that go to mxtabs.com and learn songs you like.

And tabs are very easy to learn if you see them and get confused, just remember that the numbers represent your finger position on the fret.

Acoustic is better I Think Ive played guitar for 3 Years now and I Prefer its sound to Electric well most of the time sometimes I Just like the edgy sound of a Distortion Petal + Electric Guitar

Acoustic I Think would be more Music Theory (Chords/Notes/Etc.) versus Just Learning Tabs on a Electric Guitar

http://www.powertabs.net/

you need their program to be able to read the tabs. it has the bar notes, and also the tabbed notes. usually its already in guitar and you might have to check if they have their open strings different. anyway the site is pretty awesome, i re-tab the notes so im able to play it on the ukulele Cool
